Together with Oxford Economics, SAP conducted research on «supply chain leaders». The survey involved those respondents who have more stable supply chains and a higher innovation level, customer and employee satisfaction, and growth compared to other respondents.

The data obtained from the report is extremely useful in the current pandemic situation.

“The findings show that supply chain executives need the visibility to make informed decisions with speed and accuracy by leveraging technology that helps their business to sense, predict and respond to these global dynamics”, said Oxford Economics Senior Research Analyst Ben Wright.

SAP invites to tender for the audit of the financial year 2023

SAP has already issued an invitation to tender for the audit of the financial year 2023 in the German Bundesanzeiger.

Firms who want to participate in the tender process should send their requests until April 22, 2020. Auditors should provide additional information on the auditing scope and answer the pre-qualification questions.

SAP helps fight the COVID-19

On April 10, 2020, a cloud-based web application developed by SAP to track contacts with new coronavirus infected was launched in southern Germany. The new software, which runs on SAP Cloud Platform, went live at the district administrator’s office in Böblingen. Because of solution supports multitenancy, in the future, perhaps this software could be used throughout Germany.

“Tracing the people who have come into contact with a COVID-19 patient is a huge task; having an IT solution will make it much simpler”, says Roland Bernhard, chief administrative officer for the district of Böblingen in southern Germany, of the successful collaboration between the district’s local health department and SAP. “The processes have been streamlined for the municipal and district administration offices, which ultimately helps prevent the virus from spreading”.

Japanese petroleum company Cosmo Oil adopted SAP Ariba solutions

Cosmo Oil decided to adopt SAP Ariba solutions for better insight into its spend data in order to realize more strategic procurement and purchasing.

Cosmo Oil tries to increase its competitiveness by elevating its experience and technological achievements in petroleum refining field, as well as by creating alliances with other companies. The company also explores digital technology and indirect materials procurement transformation.

SAP Ariba solutions help Cosmo Oil optimize costs and the selection process for suppliers by using the data and intelligence.
