AI-Powered Intelligent ERP in SAP S/4HANA
A series of innovations for SAP S/4HANA announced by SAP SE in May 2019 are to simplify the processes of integration of artificial intelligence and robotics and customization of apps. The new features will help companies facilitate and automate business processes and introduce more accuracy in planning.
Examples of new AI additions are the following:
- Intelligent accruals management provides automated conversion of purchase order data into posted accruals;
- Defect code proposal simplifies quality checks, increases data quality and categorizes defects based on free-text entry;
- Financial journal entry with intelligent robotic process automation automates the processes of collection, extraction and validation of financial data.
New features are available in 40 countries and in 22 languages.
Uber Freight and SAP Creating partnership
An integration between Uber Freight and SAP Logistics Business Network is going to provide logistics companies with access to unprecedented on demand logistics networks at any point of time.
The announced partnership will benefit both shipping and digital supply chains. And the carbon footprint of logistics will be reduced as well. As the supply chain will be digitized, shippers will be able to maximise the available utilisation of cargo space and reduce time on carriers sourcing.
In 2018, Uber Freight launched their platform for shippers in the USA and since many shoppers used the interface for accessing Uber Freight’s carrier network and gaining access to real-time quotes from carriers. SAP Logistics Business Network is built on SAP Cloud Platform and HANA and it brings shippers together with freight forwarders, carriers and other logistics partners creating profitable collaborations and exchanging crucial knowledge.
