Mercedes-Benz EQ Formula E Team collaborates with SAP for better performance
It recently came to light that Mercedes-Benz EQ Formula E team is implementing the SAP HANA platform and the SAP Sports One solution. The Mercedes-Benz EQ Formula E team is currently preparing for the season six of the ABB FIA Formula E Championship. On November 22, 2019, the team will take part in the first race of the season in Diriyah, Saudi Arabia.
As part of the partnership SAP and the Mercedes-Benz EQ Formula E team, SAP Sports One was developed and implemented. The partners also implement SAP S/4HANA for the development of customer-specific technology solutions. The solutions are designed especially for analyzing large volumes of information and monitoring the overall business performance. With the complexities, technology and number of parts required to build a Formula E car, SAP is enabling the team to increase efficiencies comprehensively, from product procurement and supplier evaluation to performance monitoring.

Cloud Solution by SAP help the VSE group be aligned with Germany’s new regulations
Due to Germany’s new regulations on communication in the energy market, the Saarland utility company VSE, along with Pfalzwerke Netz AG and VOLTARIS GmbH, is applying the SAP Market Communication for Utilities application. Common market communication processes like certificate verification will be performed directly in the cloud.
All the legal requirements are related to the information shared by energy suppliers, grid operators and metering point operators; the measurements must be taken, refined and issued to various partners, including suppliers, external market participants and grid operators.on December 1, 2019. The new requirements pose considerable changes in the whole process for the VSE group, Pfalzwerke Netz AG and other metering point operators.
To that end, the VSE group made a decision to implement the SAP S/4HANA Utilities solution, which let the company to eliminate a number add-on developments and replace them with standard elements and harmonize the data structures. Being connected to VSE’s on-premise solution, SAP Market Communication for Utilities help to share metering data electronically in compliance with the relevant laws.
In making the move to SAP S/4HANA Utilities, we’re streamlining our software system and only implementing functions and processes that offer added value. Meanwhile, SAP Market Communication for Utilities is also helping us design our processes to be much more efficient.
