SAP new Chief Communications Officer
SAP is pleased to announce that Monika Schaller has taken up the position of Chief Communications Officer in the company. Monica has more than a 20-year communication experience and over this time she has gained extensive knowledge in various aspects that now can be brought into SAP communication. Monica has significant experience in the areas of global communications, political strategy and crisis communications management. Monica not only has a reputation as a proven leader, but also the support of the teams she has worked with as a communications director.
Monica’s last job was with Deutsche Post DHL Group, where she led corporate communications. In this role, she was able to make a significant contribution to enhancing the reputation and positioning of the company. In the past, Monica also worked with such companies as Goldman Sachs, Citigroup and Deutsche Bank.
BMW adopts SAP S/4HANA
BMW iFACTORY in Oxford, UK, has adopted SAP S/4HANA using the SAP Automotive Cloud Solutions architecture.
The first in line will be the MINI plant in Oxford – in the next few years the BMW Group plans to transfer it to a digital cloud architecture. This decision will be key to the BMW Group’s revolutionary strategy for the future of automotive production.
The BMW Group has chosen SAP S/4HANA and SAP logistics solutions for the supply chain: with these solutions, the first plan for the digitalization of processes in the automotive factories of the future will be created. This will set a new technological standard that could shape the automotive industry.
SAP acquires LeanIX
It has been announced that SAP will acquire LeanIX, a leading enterprise architecture management (EAM) software company. LeanIX is a private company that has been a strategic partner of SAP and SAP Signavio solutions for 10 years.
The acquisition of the company was planned to expand the portfolio of business transformations: SAP will be able to provide clients with access to a wide range of tools necessary for successful business transformation. SAP will also have the ability to facilitate process optimization using artificial intelligence. Although the details of the transaction have not been disclosed, it is clear that all details of the transaction will be completed in the fourth quarter of 2023.
